LOGO
In creating a logo for my own personal brand, I went through several drafts and versions before choosing the final one. Below is the final, along with the process I took to get there.
Final Logo:
For the final logo, I decided on a plain black logo, because it gives a professional and sleek look to me. I chose the diagonal lined logo because it combines both the structure of the lines with the freedom of the curves and that is how I see myself, structured yet creative.
3rd Draft:
For the 3rd draft, I chose the diagonal lined logo and made more variations, this time with color. I wanted to try a color scheme that was smooth yet professional.
2nd Draft:
For the 2nd draft, I chose two previous designs to do several variations of, also in greyscale. I first chose the diagonal lined one and variated the details of it. I then chose the scripted one and played around with the design of the letters.
1st Draft:
This first draft was a brain-dump of sorts. I came up with a bunch of doodles and tried to use illustrations that embodied me and who I am, as well as involved the letter "R". For example, I did one with a strawberry involved because strawberries are my favorite fruit. I did one with an eye because I have a good eye for design and my eyes are an unusual color. There is one with lips because I love lipstick. Each one is unique in its own way. They are all done in greyscale, so as the remove bias.
