motion capture

PROCESS: Motion capture has been an area of interest of mine, so I wanted to make a short piece to experiment with using it. Here is a video of me in the motion capture studio directing my actor as she performed a short dance piece.

FINAL PRODUCT: And here is the footage character mapped to a simple robot character.

My idea in this short animation was to copy a toy story-esque vibe and have two toys fighting. Here is my storyboard:

Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to complete the full animation, I was only able to focus my attention on the middle of the story, scenes 5-8 of the storyboard, with a twist on the “ending”. Here is that version:
